The founders, Mike Burris and Mary Burris, are avid supporters of Bluffton's downtown and they envisioned the 1861 Wine Lounge as more than just an establishment: it's a testament to the town's character. As an embodiment of their commitment to community enrichment, the 1861 Wine Lounge features a unique element known as the "Giving Wall." This wall stands as a symbol of unity, enabling patrons to contribute to local charitable initiatives. Each donation visibly demonstrates the power of collective goodwill.
